Looking back on my evening sharing sessions with my colleagues, I often tell the story of The Tortoise and the Hare. But instead of stopping at perseverance, I always ask a question: What if the hare was not only fast but also as persistent as the tortoise?
Because in today’s world, there are many such “hares”—people who are not only smart and quick but also resilient enough to go the distance. And that is exactly what each of us needs to cultivate to succeed.
Perseverance is crucial, but perseverance alone is not enough. We also need to be faster, sharper, more intelligent, and detail-oriented. The only way to achieve this is through continuous learning. If we move forward slowly without adaptability and innovation, we may one day find ourselves left behind.
When you're young, making a lot of money is difficult, but gaining knowledge from experienced mentors is incredibly simple. If you know how to leverage the experience of those who came before you—learning from both their failures and successes—you will progress exponentially faster. By standing on the shoulders of giants, you will see further, avoid unnecessary mistakes, and, most importantly—become the strongest version of yourself.
Success is not just about being the tortoise or the hare. True success is when you have the speed, intelligence, and perseverance to reach the finish line with confidence.
Do you agree? :)
